Preschool Homeschool Information

Preschool. Oh, it just makes my heart sing. My children are past the preschool stage by far, but I have not forgotten how sweet that time was! It is a time of pure innocence, but also a time of some fierce learning and soaking up the world around them. The preschool years are so very formative, the "world" you create for your children will affect them for the rest of their lives. We are committed to finding the best resources for preschool homeschooling and sharing them with you.

Suggestions for an Excellent Preschool "World"

  • Books, books, books! And we say again. BOOKS!
  • Little or no real TV; very selective use of DVD/video.
  • Quality toys that challenge the imagination. Heirloom Wooden Toys are a perfect choice. (We have a nice box of wooden trains that I know will be passed on to my grandchildren!)
  • The means for imaginative play. My children could play for hours with a few dress-up clothes and a large, empty refrigerator box.
  • Books and songs on tape.
